I was wondering, if someone is following a polyphasic sleeping schedule, are you less likely to expeience nightmares? I figure your proably not falling into a deep sleep so your less likely to expereince nightmares. Is this true? Has anyone ever had nighmares?

I've only been at it for 5 days so I can't really say from experience, but I have read tons about it in those 5 days, and I haven't come across any mention of having nightmares. Hopefully someone else can help more? |

I actually had a bit of a nightmare a week or two into my adjustment of Everyman. I'm not one who is normally prone to nightmares so this one really caught me off guard.
It was a 6am nap and the first time I actually had a dream during one of my naps. The dream seemed to stretch for hours, the first half of it had something to do with zombies chasing me, I cant really remember that part. There was another part before that where I ran into an old friend from college, so there was a total of three distinct dreams in that 20 minute period.
The final one, or the "nightmare" started off with me out and about in a town near where I grew up. I kept seeing this white van parked at the side of the road and nearby would be some guy stealing a bike. Since I was not from around there and it wasn't my bike I just continued on as if I hadn't seen it.
About the 4th or 5th time I saw it I was with some friends and pointed it out to one of them. Just as I did the guy turned towards me and saw me pointing. Before I knew it they were chasing me and I tried to cut through an alley which turned out to be a dead end.
I found myself cornered, the big thug stealing the bikes and some smaller guy who had been the driver of the van. They told me they couldn't have me running away knowing their secret. I tried to convince them I couldn't care less and the secret was safe with me. The guy thanked me and reach out to shake my hand, as I reciprocated he threw me up against the wall, holding me by my neck in a choke hold. He then pulled out a torch lighter while saying something along the lines of "this is just a taste of what wil happen if you do tell" and he held the flame against my neck.
Considering it was a dream, the pain was quite real. I squirmed and tried to escape, thinking how unfair it was because I had been caught off guard. As someone who's trained in Shotokan Karate for years I felt as though if I had seen it coming I could do something about it. At that point the dream became lucid and I was able to rewind it and replay that "scene" over and over, trying out different things until finally I found an outcome I was happy with. Then I finally woke up.
So it wasn't much of a nightmare, other than being burned in the neck which was very painful, and for the zombie part which at the time was scary (but now I don't remember). What really blew me away was how lucid I was at the end, I've only had that happen a couple of times in my life but it was never that vivid and I always awoke as soon as I caught on to what was happening. Then there's the fact that it seemed like I had been asleep for hours and hours but when I woke up it was before my alarm (so less than 20 min).
